Review of A Very Dinosaur Christmas by Adam Wallace

Deck the holidays in laughter with this funny read-aloud from Adam Wallace, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the How to Catch series. What if dinosaurs joined your Christmas celebration? From a chomped tree to an Ankylosaurus stuck in the chimney and a devoured Christmas dinner, it's a dino disaster!

You've always thought that dinosaurs are super fascinating.

But should they really join in with your Christmas celebrating?

Watch out, Santa! Christmas has a new cast of stars, and they are eager to make this a holiday to remember. Start a new family tradition with this silly picture book adventure featuring Jurassic characters, lively rhymes, and hilarious illustrations from Christopher Nielsen.

A Very Dinosaur Christmas is perfect for

  • boys and girls 4 to 10 years old and dino lovers of all ages,
  • fans of How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas and How to Catch a Dinosaur,
  • fun holiday story times and getting the giggles out before bed,
  • a gift for underneath the tree or a humorous choice on an Advent reading list, and
  • celebrating your holiday with a bonus craft activity by making a dinosaur tree ornament.

And don't miss the first title in Adam Wallace's A Very Celebration series: A Very Dinosaur Birthday.

My Review

For children who love dinosaurs, this book is a real treat. It's an educational but fun read. Every page is filled with large illustrations in vivid color. The rhyming text on each page, along with the illustrations, takes the reader on a magical journey.

The last page has a fun ornament to help your child make for an interactive fun adventure. This would make a wonderful addition to your child's book library.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher; a positive review is not required. All opinions are my own.
